HOUSEHOLDERS “bravely challenged” a man who was attempting to break into their home.
The residents, in Pensarn in Abergele, returned home to discover an intruder in the process of breaking into their home at about 5.30pm onTuesday, November 1.
Det Sergeant Elfyn Hughes, St Asaph Burglary Team said: “At about 5.30pm on Tuesday, November 1 the householders returned to their home in Lon Kinmel, Pensarn to discover an intruder in the process of breaking into their home.
“The burglar, a man, was bravely challenged, but after a brief scuffle he was able to run from the house and he made off in the direction the town centre.
“Fortunately the occupants were uninjured, but clearly shaken by their encounter. At this stage it’s unclear what was stolen, but an investigation is underway.”
The offender is described as a white male aged 45 to 50 years, 5’10 – 6’0 tall, average build, balding hair with an ear ring and wearing dark clothing.
