A 45-year-old man wept after admitting a series of serious charges of indecency against a child and possessing and distributing indecent images of a youngster.
Peris Griffiths of Llwyn y Gog Llanfairfechan appeared before a judge at Caernarfon Crown Court by videolink from prison.
During the 20-minute hearing he spoke only to confirm his name and to enter pleas to 28 charges.
Griffiths pleaded guilty to nine charges of rape, nine charges of causing a child to engage in sexual activity and two of sexual assault against a child under the age of 13 and one charge of attempted sexual assault on a child.
He denied two other charges of sexual assault and prosecutor Anna Pope said the pleas were acceptable to the Crown.
The judge ordered these two charges to lie on the file.
Griffiths also admitted four charges of distributing an indecent image of a child and one charge of possessing a total of 879 indecent images of children.
There were 155 classed at the highest category the court heard.
Wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, Griffiths appeared to be very emotional as he sat in the dock.
Charges related to offences committed by Griffiths between March 2009 and September this year, when he was arrested.
During today’s hearing Simon Killeen, defending, asked for an adjournment for the preparation of reports.
Judge Huw Rees said he agreed with the application and adjourned sentence until December 16.
No application for bail was made and Griffiths was remanded in custody.
