A warning has been issued after a man acting suspiciously approached a schoolgirl in Wrexham .
Police are appealing for information after three men in a white van pulled up alongside a 12-year-old girl on Norfolk Road in Borras as she made her way to school at 8.15am today.
One of the men is understood to have got out of the vehicle and made his way towards the child.
Fortunately, the girl was able to run off to a place of safety.
The suspect then headed off in the direction he had come from.
Det Sgt Anne Louise Jones of North Wales Police said: “This was clearly a distressing incident for the young girl and fortunately she came to no harm.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw a white box van in the Norfolk Road area at around 8.15am, or who saw any suspicious behaviour, to contact police on 101 quoting reference U174144.”
