WITNESSES are being sought after a stolen vehicle crashed into a house in Abergele last night (Tuesday).
The incident happened at 10.30pm yesterday after a family car - a silver coloured Toyota Corolla, registration FG56 FVO - was taken from a house in the Roumania Drive area of Llandudno sometime between 6.30pm on Saturday, October 29 and 11.30am on Sunday, October 30. Offenders also took clothing and a laptop.
Det Sergeant Elfyn Hughes, at St Asaph Burglary Team said: “A house was broken into in the Roumania Drive area of Llandudno where some clothing and a laptop were stolen together with the family car a silver coloured Toyota Corolla.
“At approximately 10.30pm last night, the car crashed into a house on Llanddulas Road, Aberegle and two men were seen to run from the car into the near-by Tesco’s car park.
"Despite an early police presence the subsequent search for them proved fruitless.
"Fortunately no one in the house was injured, but the property has been damaged.”
North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses - both to the original break-in and abandoned vehicle in Abergele.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed events is asked to contact the control room via the web live chat. Alternatively phone 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quote RC 1616 5455.
