An investigation into pollution at a Snowdonia lake has been launched by Natural Resources Wales.
Officers examined areas of Afon Las, near Nant Peris, Gwynedd, following a "disturbance" which had flowed into Llyn Padarn.
The incident was believed to be "soil and silt"-related, a spokesman said.
Earlier this week, a large digger was seen excavating part of the Afon Las riverbank, however, NRW would not confirm the focus of its investigation.
