A man suffered head injuries after an assault in Caernarfon.
The victim in his 40s was assaulted on Castle Square at around 2am on Sunday.
He was taken by emergency ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, with several injuries, including to his head.
A man arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed pending further enquiries.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 2am to Castle Square in Caernarfon.
“One emergency ambulance attended the incident. A man in his 40s received several injuries and was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.
“There is no hint of how serious the injuries are.”
A North Wales Police spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 2am that a man had been assaulted and taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, with head injuries.
“A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further enquiries.”
