A maths teacher has been accused of repeatedly sexually abused a schoolgirl over a two year period, a jury heard today.
Philip Mitchell is accused of carrying out the alleged attacks more than 30 years ago while he worked as a teacher at an Anglesey secondary school and when he was providing private tuition at his home.
The 67-year-old of Manchester Road, Macclesfield, denied 12 counts of indecent assault and indecency with a child at Caernarfon Crown Court.
Prosecuting counsel Simon Rogers claimed Mitchell had sexually abused the girl, forcing her to perform sexual acts on him and performing oral sex on her.
Mr Rogers said the alleged victim contacted police in August 2014.
During a video interview she told detectives: “I trusted this person. I remember being revolted by it.”
She feared her mother wouldn’t believe her if she told her, the court heard.
Mr Rogers said the alleged victim remembered that Mitchell drove an “eye-catching” TR7 sports car where she claimed Mitchell would put put his hand up her skirt: “I knew car rides only spelled one thing,” she said.
Mr Rogers also alleged abuse took place in country lanes in Anglesey, and behind a sand dune on Llanddwyn beach near Newborough.
The trial continues.
