A MAN has been left with head injuries after an assault in the centre of Caernarfon.
The victim in his 40s was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd after the attack in Castle Square at about 2am on Sunday.
Another man was arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 2am on Sunday morning to Castle Square in Caernarfon.
"A man was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd and another man has been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries."
A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance service said: "We were called in the early hours of Sunday, May 15, to reports a man had been assaulted on Castle Square in Caernarfon.
"We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a man was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd."
