An investigation has been launched into the "sudden and unexplained" death of a man found in his Cardiff Bay flat.
The body of Gary Coleman, 41, was discovered at his fourth-floor flat in Aquila House, in Falcon Drive, just after 8pm on Sunday.
Mr Coleman, who worked in the chemistry department at Cardiff University , was seen in the vicinity of Aquila House by a neighbour on Friday evening and was last spoken to by a relative over the phone at 6.30pm on Saturday.
Detective Superintendent Kath Pritchard said: "Gary Coleman’s parents are being supported by family liaison officers at this very difficult time while a team of detectives establish the circumstances of his death.
"As part of our investigation we are trying to piece together Gary’s movements in the days leading up to his death, and we are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or spoken to him on Friday evening and anytime over the weekend.
"We believe that Gary spent a lot of time by himself and are keen to hear from any friends or acquaintances who can provide information on how Gary spent his time, his daily routine, any hobbies, and places he frequented."
Enquiries are continuing in the Falcon Drive area including house to house, forensic examination, and CCTV checks.
Anyone with information should call South Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
