John Longmate is alleged to have carried out the offences at OAP homes in Llangollen and Rhyl

An 81-year-old man accused of flashing in one OAP home and touching a woman’s breasts in another appeared in court via video link from prison today.
Mold Crown Court heard attempts had been made to find John Longmate a place in an all-male establishment by today, but social services wanted more information and he was further remanded in custody.
Longmate had previously lived in homes at Llangollen, where the alleged flashing was said to have taken place, and at Rhyl, where the alleged sexual assault took place.
He appeared via a live television link from Altcourse Prison in Liverpool.
No pleas were entered and Oliver King, defending, said that reports on his client were being prepared for a possible fitness to plead hearing.
A provisional trial date was fixed in October.
Judge Rhys Rowlands remanded Longmate in custody in the meantime.
Mr King said a bail application would be made once a suitable residential home was found for him.
