People have been urged to take their rubbish home after this Cardiff beauty spot was blighted by litter.
Llandaff Fields was photographed covered in rubbish after the weekend with claims the waste had been left “for days”.
Residents called the waste “disgraceful” and urged Cardiff council to clear it up.
Cardiff council said three collections take place at the site each week and that none had been missed.
'Take your rubbish home'
Cabinet member Bob Derbyshire said: “I would like to remind all users of our parks and open spaces to take litter as a result of picnics home with them.
"It is totally unacceptable to leave bags of mixed waste around the designated bins in our parks.
“This is also the case if residents choose to use park bins as a dropping-off point for their household waste.
"Whilst our bins are regularly emptied additional waste causes both an eyesore and can attract rodents.
"As a city we are very fortunate to have such beautiful parks for us all to enjoy so please help us ensure that they are kept as attractive as possible.”

'Unacceptable'
Riverside councillor Caro Wild said: “It is terrible to see such a mess. It’s a shame people dump their rubbish in the park.
"If the bins are full they should take their rubbish back home with them.”
But Cardiff Liberal Democrat environment spokesperson Elizabeth Clark said: “This is yet another example of Labour’s flawed waste strategy impacting negatively on our communities. The litter picking teams that the previous Lib Dem-led council invested in have been slashed.
“As our streets and green spaces become messier, people are yearning for the days when Lib Dems invested in Cardiff’s waste services.”
