Two brothers who are both teachers at secondary schools in Gwynedd have appeared before magistrates charged with possessing indecent images of children.
Dyfan Wheldon-Williams, 42, of Bontnewydd near Caernarfon and his brother Robyn, 39, of the same address were at Caernarfon Magistrates Court.
Both men gave no indication as to how they will plead to the charges and the matter was sent to the crown court.
The court heard Dyfan Wheldon-Williams faces five charges.
Two are of making indecent photographs of a child and one of possessing 40 indecent images of children.

He also faces two charges of possessing extreme pornographic images.
His younger brother Robyn faces eight charges of making and possessing indecent images of children.
The number of images total 1,402 and 80 video clips the court heard.
Prosecutor Richard Edwards told the magistrates he believed the court’s sentencing powers in relation to the charges to be insufficient and asked for the cases against the two brothers be sent to the crown court.
Richard Williams, defending, made no representations to the contrary.
He pointed out that while both brothers had been arrested together they faced individual charges.
Bench chairman Peter Lunt Williams agreed the matters were too serious to be heard in the lower court.
Both men will appear before a judge at Caernarfon Crown Court next month for a further hearing.
They were granted conditional bail.
