A 39-year-old man was remanded in custody on Monday accused of attempted abduction of a girl of ten and drink driving.
Steven James Hickling, of no fixed address but latterly of Prestatyn, gave no indication of plea for the attempted abduction when he appeared before magistrates at Caernarfon.
The case was sent to Caernarfon crown court where he will appear next month. The abduction attempt allegedly happened on Friday evening at Deiniolen, near Caernarfon, and the drink driving at Prestatyn, where he was arrested.
Hickling pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol, with a count of 57, the limit being 35. The case was sent to the crown court for sentence and an interim disqualification was imposed.
Mel Hughes, prosecuting, asked for a remand in custody. Defence solicitor Chris Dawson did not seek bail for his client.
