A MAN in black seen on CCTV in a Rhyl store was not the accused in a shoplifting case, a special weekend court was told.
David Lines, aged 32, of Maes-y-Llan, Towyn, insisted he’d been dressed in blue shorts and a white t-shirt at the time, his solicitor Alex Fitzgerald said.
He denied charges of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order by being inside the B and M store, and stealing toiletries.
David Mainstone, prosecuting at Llandudno Magistrates Court, said the order had been imposed in April two years ago and prevents him from entering any store at Rhyl.
The case was adjourned until July and Lines was allowed bail on condition he observes a daily 10am-6pm curfew, electronically monitored, and lives at his home address.
The curfew is to be relaxed on Tuesdays to enable him to attend appointments.
