Callous vandals tear up posters of missing woman, who has not been seen since April 1 when she left her home in Caernarfon

Callous yobs are ripping up posters put up to help find missing Avril Whitfield.
Avril, 57, from Caernarfon , hasn’t been seen for over seven weeks , and her family, friends and police are increasingly concerned for her safety.
In a desperate attempt to find her worried p eople have placed over 1,000 photos across Gwynedd and Anglesey and even as far away as Manchester.
But one of the volunteers, Martin Lee Milburn, was disgusted to discover yesterday afternoon posters placed in Felinheli had been destroyed.
Martin, one of the volunteers from Felinheli near Caernarfon, said: “There are some horrible people destroying posters to find missing Avril in Felinheli.
“These posters have been put up so people can help Avril’s family find her.
“There are people who have been doing similar things in Deiniolen and Caernarfon.
“I just thought I would upload these photos, so the people that have spent their time putting up the photos, can see what other people are doing to them again.
“It makes me so angry to see this because people have been trying to find her since April 1.
“How are they suppose to find her when people are being horrible and destroying them?”
Police enquiries have revealed a possible sighting of Avril walking next to the roundabout on the A487 near Tesco in Caernarfon at about 9am on Friday, April 1. She was wearing a three-quarter-length black coat with the hood up.
She is described as being white, between 5ft 5in and 5ft 6in and of slight build with ginger/red hair worn in a bob.
Police have carried out numerous enquiries locally with shops, cafes, pubs, supermarkets and bus companies. CCTV has been looked at and numerous searches have taken place.
Yellow ribbons are also being tied to gates, trees and lampposts in Caernarfon as a symbol of hope and to remind people that she has still not returned home.
While Avril’s sister Ann, also from Caernarfon, has issued a heartfelt video message appealing for her to come home last week.
Enquiries are ongoing and anybody with information is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101, quoting reference number 15235.
Alternatively, contact can also be made via North Wales Police’s live web chat .
