A 71-year-old man has been arrested after a child was allegedly sexually assaulted on a train.
British Transport Police were called to Llandaff railway station in Cardiff at 4.46pm on Saturday following reports that a child had been assaulted on board a train.
A spokesman said: “Officers attended and a 71-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
“He has since been released on police bail, pending further enquiries, until Tuesday, June 14.”

Train services in the area were disrupted for a time as police carried out their investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference 349 of 21/05/ 16. Information can also be passed anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
