IT'S not every day you see a dog driving a car, apart from on a certain tv series.
But that's what appeared to be the case in Carmarthenshire when a passenger in a car took a picture of a vehicle coming the other way.
The picture seems to show a dog at the wheel, although there is obviously a driver just behind.
But Dyfed-Powys Police, who were sent the picture, said both the welfare of the animal and the driver's control of the vehicle were affected.
Officers traced the owner of the vehicle to an address in Llanelli where the driver admitted the offence and cooperated with officers.
A spokesman for Carmarthenshire's Roads Policing Unit said: "It was reported to us by a concerned member of the public on Monday, May 23, in Llangennech, whose passenger managed to get the photograph.
"We were concerned not only for the welfare of the dog should the vehicle be in an accident but whether the driver was in proper control.
"The vehicle was traced to an address in Llanelli where the driver fully cooperated with police and admitted the offence and was reported for the offences."
