POLICE have recovered a haul of more than £75,000-worth of stolen property ranging from power tools to a caravan and a horsebox in a raid on a Swansea's travellers' site.
The operation at Mill Stream Way in Swansea Valley - a "tolerated" but unofficial site - followed a spate of thefts from vans and other vehicles across the city and in the Swansea Valley in the last month.
Police said they found a "large number" of power tools being stored in the toilet block at the site, along with other items including a caravan and a horsebox.

The officer who led the operation, South Wales Police detective sergeant Gareth Jones, said many of the victims of the thefts had been tradesmen and small businesses for whom the loss of tools had meant major disruption.
He said: "There have been a number of thefts of power tools and machinery in the Swansea area and we attended at Mill Stream Way as a result of information we received about the stolen property.
"We have recovered a caravan and a horsebox which are worth over £50,000 and a number of other items including power tools which we believe have been stolen from vans.
"Many of the victims of the recent thefts are traders who can't go about their business due to the tools they use for work being stolen. We believe a group of criminals have been travelling around the area to commit these crimes."
Police are now trying to reunite the stolen property with its rightful owners.
Detective sergeant Jones added: "While we have recovered a large amount of stolen property we are now working to trace and arrest those responsible and return the items to the rightful owners."
