A sleeping family with children was left terrified in their own beds after a burglar broke in and demanded drugs.
Police have launched a hunt after the man struck in Rhyl during the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday and threatened the family.
It is believed the intruder went into bedrooms and woke the occupants asking for “smack.”
Fortunately no one was hurt and the man fled the scene shortly afterwards.
He is described as being in his late 20s with short hair and wearing a grey tracksuit.
Police drafted in sniffer dogs and scenes of crime officers in a bid to track down the raider but no arrests have yet been made.
A North Wales Police spokeswoman said: “The burglary was reported to us at 1.36am on Monday.
“The dog handler was called and crime scene investigators attended.
“No one has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident reference number U062659.
