A YOUTH will appear in court following an attempted robbery in Deeside.

North Wales Police confirmed that a teenager has been charged with attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident in Mancot.

The Sunnyside Stores, known as Mancot News and Booze, on Ash Lane, was targeted during the evening of Wednesday, April 26.

The youth has subsequently been bailed and will appear in youth court on May 18.
