Rhyl,North Wales - Man taken to hospital after being stabbed in the leg in Rhyl

A MAN was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the leg.
The incident happened outside a takeaway on Wellington Road, Rhyl, on Monday, February 1. North Wales Police were alerted at 9.19pm. Welsh Ambulance Service were called at 9.21pm and sent an emergency ambulance to the scene.

A man was taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital with a leg injury described as “not life threatening”.

An investigation is ongoing to try and establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

DS Dave Mills of St Asaph CID said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area from just before 9pm onwards and witnessed anything that they believe may assist us in our investigations to contact us at St Asaph CID.”

Graeme Rich, of Rhyl, saw Ocean City takeaway cordoned off with tape on Monday. He also spied a couple of uniformed officers inside the venue.

“I heard there was an ambulance there at about 9.30pm,” he added.
