A MAN has appeared before magistrates charged with murdering mum-of-two Andrea Lewis in Neath.
The 51-year-old was found dead at a property in Neath last weekend.
Rhys Trevor Anthony Hobbs, appeared at Swansea Magistrates' Court this morning and spoke only to confirm his identity.
The 43-year-old of Gnoll View, Tonna, was remanded into custody.
His next appearance will be in Swansea Crown Court on Friday.
Police were called out to Fairyland Road, Tonna, at around 8am on Saturday.
A 46-year-old also arrested in connection with the incident is currently on police bail.
Police have said their investigations are continuing.
Detective Chief Inspector Kath Pritchard said: "While a man has been charged with Andrea's murder I would still like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Fairyland Road area, or has information that they believe could be of assistance to us regarding Andrea's death.
"Our thoughts remain with Andrea's family and they continue to be updated and supported by a specially trained family liaison officer."
Ms Lewis worked in Neath town centre.
In a statement her family said: "Andrea was our daughter, sister and mother who was very much loved. She will be really, really missed by us all."
