This morning two dozen mountain rescue members were on Glyder Fach to help find the men, who had called for help.
The men from West Yorkshire, one aged 35 and the other 40, were winched to safety at roughly 10.30am by the coastguard helicopter.
They were flown to the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation (OVMRO) base to warm up following their night in the cold.
The initial call to OVMRO volunteers came yesterday at 5.30pm with anxieties of an avalanche due to the large amount of soft snow that had fallen.
The pair were trapped in a gully at Glyder Fach, about 3,260ft up.
Blizzards, gales and avalanche fears hampered the rescue efforts last night with conditions described as “incredibly difficult”.
Chris Lloyd, OVMRO , said the search was called off at 1am “reluctantly”.
By this morning OVMRO were joined by rescue teams from Aberglaslyn, Llanberis and RAF Valley.
Mr Lloyd said: “Conditions improved somewhat this morning and at roughly 10.30am the pair were located by the helicopter and winched to safety.”
He added that the pair had set off on their ascent “quite late”
