The murderer and “sexual predator” who “callously” dismembered victim Tracey Woodford at his home in Pontypridd was jailed for life. The former butcher has been told he will serve a minimum of 28 years in prison and will spend the rest of his life on licence if he is ever released.

The Cub Scout leader was arrested as he tried to meet a 12-year-old girl for sex at a hotel in Bridgend and was jailed for a string of sexual offences. The ambulance worker who volunteered as a Games Maker at the London Olympics, pleaded guilty to 19 counts, including attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming.
Kashif Iqbal
The shop owner was jailed for three-and-a-half years after selling dangerous “legal highs”to people visiting his store.
Mark Prandle
The nuisance beggar was jailed after a court heard how he had approached people for money again and had also been caught on CCTV
having a poo in a car park.
Drugs gang
The London-based gang set up a drugs operation from a terraced house in Cardiff to supply heroin and crack cocaine on the city’s streets and were jailed for more than 18 years. The gang’s operation was foiled in October 2014 after plain-clothed police officers witnessed them dealing drugs in the Splott area for three hours.
Christopher Peters
The Swansea man was jailed for six years at Blackfriars Crown Court for his part of a gang which tried to steal more than £1m in tax through sham companies they claimed traded in broadcasting rights for cage fighting events.

Alimussa Mustafa, Azad Korsheed, and Jutiar Fouadd
The three men were jailed for running a drug delivery doorstep service to the student areas of Cardiff . Alimussa Mustafa, 37, Azad Korsheed, 36 and Jutiar Fouad, 38, drove from their homes in Bristol using Sat Navs to find the addresses they wanted.
Kristian Smith and Jaik Williams
The two thieves posed as delivery men to steal a laptop from a man with autism. Kristian Smith, 22, and Jaik Williams, 20, knocked on their victim's door at his flat in Pencoed, near Bridgend , before carrying out the distraction burglary.

The 29-year-old, from Butetown, Cardiff, was jailed after being caught with a 20cm knife down his trousers in Live Lounge - while subject to a curfew after headbutting someone while he was out after a rugby match
Michael Stokes and Stephen Phillips
The two former police officers were found guilty of theft and jailed for two years. Michael Stokes and Stephen Phillips, 47, were each been found guilty of two charges of theft. In total, the pair were accused of taking £10,000 during a police raid in Swansea.
