Two cars, one van and two caravans were all sent up in flames last night
Five vehicles were completely destroyed in a major arson attack in a Wrexham village.
Fire crews were called to Park Road in Rhosymedre at 2.23am to reports of a vehicle fire, near to Plas Madoc Leisure Centre.
But when crews got to the scene two cars, one van and two caravans were all ablaze.
Two fire engines from Wrexham were at the scene and used two hose reels and one breathing apparatus to put the fires out.
All the vehicles suffered 100% fire damage and were completely destroyed.
A fire investigation unit is set to return to the scene this morning to conduct a full investigation however a spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue told the Daily Post the cause is believed to be deliberate at this stage.
North Wales Police are understood to be investigating.
This latest major attack is the latest in a string of across Wrexham in recent years where scores of vehicles have been torched costing the fire service thousands of pounds to attend.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were also sent to a deliberate vehicle fire in Pwllheli at 12.11am last night and one on Halkyn Road in Flint at 3.18am.
