Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident
An 18-year-old whose body was discovered in a parked vehicle in a car park next to a pub had been shot dead.
The man's body was discovered in the car park next to the Ship Inn pub in Llanbedrog, near Pwllheli in Gwynedd , in the early hours of Sunday.
Emergency services were called just after midnight but the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident and they are set to be interviewed by detectives investigating the death.
North Wales Police have confirmed that the family of the victim, who is local to the area, have been informed and are being supported by officers.
The coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
Police have also appealed for information, with Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Williams saying: “We are keen to speak with anyone who was in the local area last night and who may have seen a number of males in a Land Rover Discovery vehicle at the location.”

Police statement reiterates appeal for information
North Wales Police have released a statement on Facebook again asking for anyone with information to come forward.
It stated that emergency services were called to the car park next to the Ship Inn at 12.15am on Sunday.
Gun crime rate in North Wales one of lowest in the country
Gun crime in the area policed by North Wales Police is one of the lowest in England and Wales.
There were two non-air firearm offences per 100,000 people in 2014/15 in North Wales, according to a House of Commons briefing published in July.
During the same period, the average across England and Wales was nine per 100,000 of the population.
According to the data, there were 15 firearm offences in North Wales in 2015 to March, compared to 53 in 2008.
People aged 15 - 19 accounted for 13% of all non-air firearm victims in 2014/15.
North Wales Police to release statement shortly
A statement on the shooting is due to be released by North Wales Police within the hour.
Councillor 'both shocked and astonished'
Gwynedd Council councillor for Pwllheli North, Michael Sol Owen, said:
“I’m both shocked and astonished that this sort of thing could happen.“It’s something that we would not expect - that the gun culture could transfer to a very rural area like this.“It’s something that you would expect with large cities.“Our sympathies and thoughts go to the victim’s family.”
Local councillor 'absolutely shocked'
Llanbedrog councillor Angela Russell said: “I’m devastated. I’m absolutely shocked, to think that things like this can happen in a small village. It’s a lovely little village.
“When the road was closed we all thought it was a car accident.
“I just feel sorry for his friends and family.”
Ms Russell, an independent for Gwynedd Council, added: “I have only just heard the news myself. I’m still in shock.
“It’s not something you expect for this part of the world.”
