Rhyl,North Wales - Have-a-go Pensarn homeowners tackle burglar breaking into home

Have-a-go homeowners challenged a burglar they found trying to break in to their house.
The householders were shocked on Tuesday evening when they found an intruder, aged between 45 and 50. at their home in Lon Kinmel, Pensarn .
They challenged the man and there was a scuffle after which the man made off on foot.
North Wales Police are investigating the burglary and it is not clear if anything was stolen.
Det Sergeant Elfyn Hughes at St Asaph Burglary Team said: “At about 5.30pm on Tuesday November 1 the householders returned to their home in Lon Kinmel, Pensarn to discover an intruder in the process of breaking into their home.
“The burglar, a man, was bravely challenged, but after a brief scuffle he was able to run from the house and he made off in the direction the town centre.
“Fortunately the occupants were uninjured, but clearly shaken by their encounter. At this stage it’s unclear what was stolen, but an investigation is underway.
“The offender is described as white male aged 45 to 50 years, 5’10 – 6’0 tall, average build, balding hair with an ear ring and wearing dark clothing.
“If anyone witnessed this break-in or any suspicious behaviour or knows who is responsible please contact police.”
North Wales Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed events to contact the control room direct via the web live chat.
