Police are hunting a taxi driver after a woman was raped in Colwyn Bay

A hunt has been launched to find a taxi driver after a woman was raped.

The shocking attack happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the Colwyn Bay area and he is still at large.

No one has yet been arrested in connection with the incident so far but North Wales Police officers are urging anyone with information to get in touch.

Detective Sergeant Andy Rowlands said: " North Wales Police are investigating a report of a serious sexual assault in the Colwyn Bay area in the early hours of Tuesday November 1.

"If anyone has information which may assist our investigation please contact police on 101 quoting incident reference number U166310.

"As this is an ongoing investigation and we have nothing to further to add at this stage."
