RSPCA officers said they were heartbroken to find four dead newborn puppies on a road inWrexham .
The Springer Spaniel pups were found by a passer-by in Plas Drain Road in Rhos Mountain. They still had their umbilical chords attached.
RSPCA inspector Tim Jones said: “This was a very sad call to receive.
“It looks like these puppies were dumped, but we don’t know if they were already dead or had been alive when they had been left.
“They were so young they still had their umbilical cords attached. They look like springer spaniel type puppies.
“There were no injuries or marks on them so we don’t know what happened to them and we are appealing for information to try and find out what happened. What ever happened it is heartbreaking.”
Anyone with information about the puppies - which were found on May 4 at around 7pm -should contact the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Calls are treated in confidence.
