A SWANSEA man launched an attack on a naked neighbour in his block of flats using a rock in a sock as a weapon, a court has heard.
Ascen Bradley Walsh woke a fellow resident in the Griffith John Street flats just after noon and hit him on the head "between 10 and 12 times" with the weighted sock.

Swansea Magistrates' Court heard there was a dispute between Walsh and his neighbour Michael Breakespear over money.
Sharon Anderson, prosecuting, said Walsh had gone into Mr Breakespear's flat with a glass jug full of "brown liquid" just after 12.10pm on April 9 and woken the sleeping occupant. Walsh was then "ushered" out of the flat into the communal area whereupon he produced a sock with a rock in it, and set about Mr Breakespear, hitting him to the head "between 10 and 12 times".
The prosecutor added: "During this incident the complainant was wearing no clothes."
Walsh, aged 47, of Griffith John Street, Brynmelyn, Swansea, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon - namely a rock concealed in a sock - when he appeared at court.
Dan Griffiths, for Walsh, said there was a "lengthy background" to the incident involving a dispute over cash, and that "alcohol was a feature" - the brown liquid in the jug was alcohol.
District judge Neil Thomas sitting at the magistrates court said the sentencing powers of the court were insufficient to deal with the incident and he committed matters to Swansea Crown Court.
The judge released Walsh on bail until June on condition that he does not contact the victim - or enter the seventh floor of the block of flats where he lives.
