Toxic smog is set to hit North Wales as temperatures soar in the region over the next few days.
The Department for Food, Agriculture and Rural Affairs (Defra) has issued moderate-level alerts for most of Wales as as the risk of air pollution looks likely to rise over the next four days, Wales Online reports.
Official health advice says that adults and children with lung problems, and adults with heart problems, who experience symptoms, should consider reducing strenuous physical activity to reduce the air intake during this time.
The advice for them is to stay indoors wherever possible and keep windows and doors closed.
The warning is that "moderate" air pollution is likely to become more widespread tomorrow affecting many parts of Wales and England.
This risk is likely to be widespread for the next three-day period, with localised high air pollution also possible.
Temperatures are to starting rising from today thanks to a south-easterly wind that will bring the warmer weather.
Thursday temperatures will see temperatures soar to 17C and reach 19C by Friday.
By Sunday and Monday, Wales could see temperatures hit 21C.
