Dylan Glyn Jones, 26, told police he was retrieving a lost dog when he saw the woman inside the house, Caernarfon magistrates heard

A man stood on a windowsill to watch a blonde woman undressing, a court heard.
Dylan Glyn Jones, 26, of Bryn Garmon, Abersoch, Pwllheli, Gwynedd, appeared before magistrates at Caernarfon today after pleading guilty to “attempting to observe a person doing a private act for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, knowing that the person did not consent.”
Prosecutor Diane Williams said on April 3, this year, Jones had been caught in the act by a “stealth camera” fitted to the house in the seaside resort.
She said that the four-bedroom house was being let out by the owner who received a phone call from people staying there in January saying that they had seen “somebody prowling in the garden.”
Ms Williams said the next day it happened again, when girls staying there saw a man in the garden.
Ms Williams said in March, the owner herself went over to the house and saw a man near a car outside who turned and was “staring” and she ran back towards the house.
The event caused her to leave the house immediately that night.
Ms Williams said a neighbour had then set up a “stealth camera” on the house. She said nothing happened during the first week but in the second week the camera took images of Jones standing on a windowsill and looking into the house.
Jones was arrested and told police in an interview that he’d “lost” his dog and that he was “retrieving” it when he’d seen a “nude woman” inside the house and he’d gone back to see if he could see her again.
Tudur Owen, defending, said Jones had never been in trouble and never been in court before and wanted to apologise to “all concerned.”
A probation officer’s report said Jones, who has a partner and two young children, “should have known better”.
Former builder Jones had been unemployed for three years, he said,
Sentencing Jones to carry out a 12-month community order, bench chair Ffion Jones said it was “a serious offence.”
She said the order would include 20 days one-to-one with an offender manager, 100 unpaid hours and a three month 7am-8pm curfew order. He was also ordered to pay £145 costs and victim surcharge.
