A pensioner was pushed to the floor in his own home after four men broke in and demanded cash.

Gwent Police are appealing for information following the robbery in Crosskeys at around 11.30am on Tuesday.

Four men broke into the house on Halls Road Terrace when two elderly people were home at the time.

A police spokesman said: “The male occupant was pushed over by the men and a demand was made for cash. The men made off with a quantity of cash.

He added: “Fortunately the occupants were not injured as a result of the incident, but were left very shaken.”
