Drivers in the Gwynedd town have been targeted by yobs for the third time since last year

Police are hunting vandals who kicked vehicles and ripped off wing mirrors in a spate of attacks in Bethesda over Easter weekend.
The damage to around six cars follows previous similar attacks on vehicles.
Last month vandals smashed the windscreens of 19 cars in Tregarth, Glasinfryn, Bethesda and Bangor in a rampage.
And last year yobs sprayed yellow paint and damaged the wing mirrors of cars parked on Glanogwen and High Street.
One of the cars damaged during the latest spate was a Fiat Ducato camper van which was parked in a public car park near the old police station in Bethesda.

Owner Paul Edwards, 42, said: “This was done over the bank holiday and we estimate there is about £500 of damage. They’ve damaged my wing mirrors and kicked and scraped the doors. We believe that more cars were damaged at the same time.
“It’s definitely becoming a problem and nothing seems to be done. We don’t really see police in Bethesda.”
He said he had parked his vehicle in the car park because the road is very narrow where he lives at Penybryn.
Idris Edwards, who owns Central Garage, said: “I’ve had a half a dozen cars been brought in by their owners after their wing mirrors were damaged. They include a Ford Puma, a Ford Fiesta as well as the motorhome.
“I’ve had to repair a lot of wing mirrors. Police were here a month ago after the windscreens of cars were smashed.”
North Wales Police spokeswoman said they had only received one report of damage from Easter weekend and that referred to the motorhome.
She said: “Our enquiries are continuing and we are appealing for witnesses.”
Any one with information is asked to call officers on 101 - reference number U044999.

Llandudno,North Wales - Rhos on Sea nursery wall hit by car for second time in six weeks

Car overturned by First Steps Nursery in Rhos-on-Sea
Car overturned by First Steps Nursery in Rhos-on-Sea

Crash near First Steps Nursery shut the road while emergency services cleared the scene

A nursery owner told how a car that smashed into their wall was the second to hit it in six weeks.
On Tuesday an overturned vehicle forced police to close Brompton Avenue, in Rhos-on-Sea , near to the first Steps Nursery, crashing into its wall at around 10.15am and knocking bricks onto the pavement.
Becky Nicholson, owner and manager, said another car had crashed into the nursery wall six weeks ago causing thousands of pounds of damage.
She said: “In the latest crash, a car had overturned. It was on its roof.
“We went outside and two people were getting out the window, a girl and a boy.
“The boy seemed okay, but the girl was more traumatised, so we called an ambulance and got them blankets to keep them warm.
“The wall was damaged by the car in the accident.
“Six weeks ago there was another crash where a car hit the wall shattering glass everywhere, damaging the wall, chippings on the car park and to my car costing thousands.
“I think the road needs looking at.”
Following the latest crash a Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed that a man and a woman escaped unharmed.
“We sent a crew in an emergency ambulance to the scene, where a male and a female were given a precautionary check-up but did not travel to hospital,” she said.
The accident happened near to the Hickory’s restaurant.

Megan Catherine Joseph, who has waived her anonymity to speak out, said she is is keen to warn others after her traumatic experience

“I’ve understandably been left very traumatised as the man clearly looked insane and he seemed to have intentions to get me off the horse.
“Luckily, I managed to get back to the yard. I came home shocked although psychically unscathed.”
Megan has reported the incident to South Wales Police who are now investigating.

'Trying to frighten me'

She added: “He was driving past me really slowly and I told him to go away but he just started laughing at me - while doing these inappropriate things.
“I tried to turn my horse around to go back home but my horse wouldn’t."
Megan said: “So I carried on up the road for a bit and managed to turn around.
“I felt like he was either trying to frighten me or he wanted to actually get me off my horse. I was so lucky my horse is quiet.
“He finished doing whatever he was doing and then sped off. I just remember riding back to the yard in tears and phoning the police.
“I was traumatised. It was a very frightening experience and I think it’s worse because I look a lot younger than my age.

“What if this person actually did approach a child?
“That’s one of the main reasons I’m sharing my experience. I want to catch this man and I want to warn other people, especially people with children.”
Megan captured the side profile of the vehicle on CCTV, which had half the number plate covered with a blue plastic bag.
She also described the suspect as being a man aged between 35 and 40 and around 5ft 11 to 6ft, wearing a grey tracksuit.
A spokesman from South Wales Police confirmed an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Pontypridd,South Wales - Teen 'bit off man's ear' and boasted that he'd swallowed it in "vicious and unprovoked attack"

Thomas Bradwick was sentenced at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court
 Comments (1)
A teenager has been sentenced to three years custody for biting off the ear of an innocent man in the street - and then boasting that he'd swallowed it.
Thomas Bradwick, 18, lunged at passer-by Ian Curtis as he chatted with a friend in a "vicious and unprovoked attack".
Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard drunken Bradwick punched him in the face before biting off the top of his victim's ear in a scuffle.
The court heard Bradwick - who had already thrown a beer bottle as he hanged around with a gang of youths - shouted: "Look boys I've got his ear in my month."

Middle-aged Mr Curtis was in agony when Bradwick told him: "I've had your ear already. I swallowed it and I'll have your f*****g nose next."
Prosecutor Ieuan Morris said: "This was a sickening, mindless attack on a middle-aged man."
Mr Curtis was left with a deformed ear after cartilage and a section of skin were torn off in the attack in Mill Street, Pontypridd, in August.
Bradwick, of Harcourt Road, Mountain Ash, admitted affray and wounding Mr Curtis with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.
Andrew Taylor, defending, said that Bradwick had had a troubled background so his mother leaving the family when he was young and recognised that the root cause of his offending was alcohol.
"He was plainly out of control," he said.
He added that he hoped to rejoin the well-paid carpentry apprenticeship scheme he had been part of before being sent into custody.

"He cannot explain or excuse why or what he did that day. He was very drunk and there was an element of showing off," Mr Taylor said.
Judge William Gaskell said: "Your behaviour was thoroughly obnoxious. You gloried in what you had done. You gloried in your violence."
Bradwick was sent to a young offender institution for three years and ordered to pay a £120 victim surcharge.

MOLD,North Wales - CCTV shows would-be thief in Mold trying to break into a parked car on a driveway

North Wales Police say they are investigating two car break-ins which took place in the past few days on the same street where the footage was filmed

CCTV footage captures the moment a would-be thief tries to break into a car parked on a driveway in the middle of the night.
Two men can been seen on the video filmed in Llys Tudela, Mold , with one of them attempting to open one of the doors at around 4am on Tuesday.
The resident, who does not wish to be named, has shared the footage in a bid to warn other homeowners in the area.
Police are currently investigating two car break-ins on the same road since Saturday.
The owner of the CCTV footage said: “We only realised later that afternoon after our neighbour told us her stereo had gone, then I checked our CCTV.

“It’s never happened before.
“As you can see they came on to my drive at approximately 4am but were in the street from 3.40am.
"They are both wearing black North Face style clothes, one with white trainers, and both with North Face, low alpine hoods.”
A spokesman for North Wales Police confirmed that a break-in on Llys Tudela was reported to them at 9.45am yesterday.
He said a car stereo fascia was stolen some time between 7pm on Monday (March 28) and 9am the following day.
A break-in was also reported at a separate address on the same road, involving a red Hyundai, where a sat nav was stolen between Saturday, March 26 and 7pm yesterday.
Both thefts happened when the vehicles were parked on their respective driveways.
North Wales Police are urging anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference RC16044680 for the stereo fascia theft and RC16045341 for the incident which saw a sat nav stolen.

Bethesda,North Wales - Gwynedd knifewoman jailed for robbing marshmallows off student

Sian Budski of Bethesda jailed for robbing student at knifepoint
Sian Budski of Bethesda jailed for robbing student at knifepoint

Police had to use stun gun to detain Sian Budski from Bethesda who was sentenced to 32 months for the attack

A woman robber who held a Stanley knife towards a terrified university student and demanded cash made off with a bag of marshmallows.
Sian Budski, 39, of Ogwen Terrace, Bethesda, was jailed for 32 months at Caernarfon Crown Court yesterday after she admitted robbing a Chinese second-year student who was shopping at Bangor in December.
Prosecutor Richard Edwards said Budski was extremely aggressive towards police afterwards and had been tasered.
The victim had bought two bags of marshmallows and was in the high street when Budski grabbed her wrist.

Police used stun gun to detain Budski

“The defendant told her to give her all her money,” Mr Edwards said.
Budski was brandishing a knife and, when the frightened victim said she only had a bag of sweets, the defendant grabbed them.
Budski ran off, entered a shop and police arrived. The stun gun was used to detain her.

Jeans and perfume – which she admitted stealing from Debenhams and Superdrug earlier the same day – were recovered.
The prosecutor added that the ordeal had left the victim afraid of going out in the dark.

Victim left 'shocked and horrified'

Defence barrister Anna Pope said Budski had no memory of the events and was “shocked and horrified” when shown CCTV footage.
There was no specific targeting of the student and Budski wished to apologise to her.
At one time the defendant, who had previous convictions, almost completed a psychology degree at Bangor university. But she didn’t do so after appearing in court.
Judge Gaynor Lloyd said the defendant claimed to have no memory of the street robbery due to drink and drug use.
The judge told her: ”You were on a drunken mission to commit offences that afternoon but the robbery was opportunistic in nature.”
The student was “in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Police said Budski was a 'prolific offender'

Judge Lloyd said Budski had a “difficult” history and was described as a persistent offender.
“You clearly have complex issues you need to address,” the judge added.
After the case, the investigating officer, Detective Constable Carl Roberts of Bangor CID, said: “It is important the criminal justice system imposes strong sentences on those people in our communities intent on disrupting the lives of the vast majority of law-abiding citizens.
“Budski is a prolific offender and this sentence will, I’m sure, bring relief to communities in Gwynedd who have tolerated her anti-social and disruptive behaviour far too long.
“Budski threatened an innocent person with a knife, no doubt leaving her traumatised. Those who carry knives must realise there is a consequence to their actions. Knives can inflict terrible injuries and it is reassuring to see the courts acknowledging such in the sentence handed out. Our message is a simple one – please don’t carry knives and, if you are concerned about those in our community who do, then let us know.”

Cardiff,South Wales - Police break into a house using a CHAINSAW

Police in Cardiff have started using the cutting machines during raids in the city to gain access quickly

Officers in the city have started using chainsaws instead of battering rams as a way of getting into houses quicker.

This was filmed in the Butetown area of the city early on Wednesday morning and shows the officers getting into a house in less than 20 seconds by sawing the door apart.
South Wales Police said that two people were arrested on suspicion of money laundering and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesman said: "They are still in police custody."
In February, officers used them for the first time as part of Operation Fulcrum. A total of 24 people were arrested in those raids.
