A SWANSEA drug user-turned dealer was jailed after police found heroin, cocaine and cash when her home was raided.
Officers discovered Georgina Denise Curry carrying 0.4 grams of heroin in a small plastic wrap during a stop and search on Cwm Road, in September last year, Swansea Crown Court heard.
They seized the drug and a mobile phone, but found further quantities plus an amount of crack cocaine and cash during a later raid on her flat in Odo Street.
Prosecutor Frank Phillips told the court that police recovered several wraps of white powder, which later turned out to be 0.44 grams of crack cocaine, a further amount of heroin and £3,445 in cash.
"The mobile telephone was analysed. It contained a number of text messages relating to the supply of drugs."
Stephen Burnell, defending, said Curry, aged 44, had no previous convictions and was trying to overcome her drug problems.
"There are some efforts made regarding the drugs issues," he said.
"She is attempting to resolve the problems she had during the last 10 to 15 years when she used drugs."
Curry, who admitted two charges of possession and possession with intent to supply class A drugs was jailed for a total of two years and four months.
Sentencing her, Judge Paul Thomas said: "Anyone involved in dealing withheroin must expect a substantial prison sentence.
"The reason for that is to discourage other people from getting involved.
"You know the effect that heroin has on people's lives and you should know that in selling to others you are adding to their misery as well."
