31-year-old arrested on suspicion of drink driving, unauthorised taking of vehicle and driving without insurance after incident at b5

A man has been arrested after a wrecked car was found abandoned on a B road onAnglesey in the early hours of this morning.
A 31-year old local man was swooped on by police at 8am after a Vauxhall Astra was discovered on the B5108 at Bryn Goleu at roughly 4.30am.
He has been arrested on suspicion of unauthorised vehicle taking, driving without insurance, failure to report an accident and drink driving.
It is not known what time the Astra crashed but it was eventually cleared at roughly 7am after a concerned motorist contact the police.
Speaking to the Daily Post she said: “There was bits of the car all over the road and the airbags had gone off.
“The drivers door was open too, but the lights were switched on.
“There was no one in the car.
“My parents came to wait for the police whilst went to work.
“It looked nasty though. The whole of the front of the car was wrecked.”
She added: “It was about 4:35am that I arrived there and there was no one in sight so it was before that.
“It can be quite busy through the day. It’s not busy at that time of the morning though.
“I travel to work using that road most mornings at that time and very rarely pass another car
“I’m the one who raised the alarm. Joys of being first on the road at that time of the morning.”
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We were called at 4.59am reporting a car had hit a wall on the B5108 near the rugby club.
“Officers requested recovery and investigations are ongoing.
“A man has been arrested and remains in custody at this time.”
