One visitor to the commercial estate said he was so disgusted at the mess outside KFC, McDonald's and Pizza Hut it put him off ordering anything

This picture shows the shocking state of litter scattered throughout a car park near three fast food businesses in Conwy.
Bins were overflowing at Llandudno Junction commercial estate with KFC, Pizza Hut and McDonalds litter strewn all over the ground.
Paul Williams from Llandudno, who snapped the disgusting sight, said the businesses had a responsibility to do a better job cleaning up.
He said: “I emailed McDonald’s and KFC 24 hours ago to complain about the mess at the car park by the cinema.
“I am disgusted by the mess. We obviously have a generation who don’t care.”
Paul is not a regular fast food customer but said he fancied a McDonalds on Sunday but the sight of all the rubbish soon put him off.
“They should have a bigger responsibility to keep the place tidy”, he added.
“Literally as we pulled up we could see the bins were full and not big enough, not when you’ve got three fast food places so close to each other.
“It’s probably a small amount of people who are just lazy and decide it’s easier to throw it on the floor.
“It’s a disgrace.”

Litter picks

But both McDonald’s and KFC have said their staff conduct several litter picks a day on the estate and are committed to tackling the issue.
A McDonald’s spokesman said: “Our main priority is being a good neighbour and we remain committed to playing our part in tackling litter in Llandudno and the surrounding area.
“Employees at our Llandudno Junction restaurant are already committed to carrying out daily litter patrols, and will look to tackle this particular area with our partners on the Llandudno Junction Leisure Park as we move forward.”
A KFC spokesman added: “As a Clean Up Britain campaign member and Keep Britain Tidy supporter we believe reducing litter is very important and are happy to liaise with the landlord and other business’s in the area to tackle the problem.
“We are aware of the challenges and currently conduct up to four local litter picks per day as well as encouraging customers to use the bins provided.”
Pizza Hut has also been approached for a comment.
