FOUR teenagers accused of torching a leisure centre have appeared in court.

Splash Magic, a community-run leisure centre in Plas Madoc, Acrefair, was deliberately set alight on October 4.

Justin Espie, prosecuting, told Wrexham Youth Court on Thursday that the damage caused by the fire amounted to £17,000.

All four youths, aged 14 to 16 at the time of the fire, have denied the charges.

They will stand trial at Wrexham Magistrates Court on January 7.
