A Caernarfon mum has described the stomach churning moment she found a “mouldy” bun at the bottom of her KFC burger.
Hayley Pritchard, 31, said she 'felt sick' after discovering the green and black patches at the bottom of her Zinger burger last night.
But when her boyfriend tried to return the meal to the fast food chain’s restaurant in Caernarfon, staff rejected their complaints and refused to give them a refund.
Mum of four Hayley said: “My boyfriend Arwel went to the KFC restaurant in Caernarfon at around 8.30pm last night.
“When he got back home, I was hungry and just opened my food and saw mould on the bottom bit of the burger bun.
“I’m lucky that I always look at my food before I eat it.
“There was green mould on the back of the bun and black pieces which I’m sure were mould as well.
“It was revolting and made me feel sick.”
After making the discovery, Hayley’s boyfriend Arwel returned the food to the restaurant on the town’s Pool street.
But the couple say they were shocked when they were told by staff that the bun was not mouldy and they would not be given a refund.
Hayley’s mum Sharon has since lodged an official complaint with the fast food giant.
Hayley added: “I don’t think much of the customer service.
“I won’t be going back again in a hurry.”
