TWO men beat another in his own home with a pool cue after bursting in through his front door when he answered the door.
Victim Kevin Jones was at his home in Goytre, Port Talbot, in February, when he heard friend Alan Jenkins at the window.
When he answered the door to Jenkins, of Goytre Road, he realised he was accompanied by another man, Camden Purchase, and the pair pushed Mr Jones into his property, and demanded to know where a mutual acquaintance was — a man called Sean O'Brian. Prosecuting, Stephen Rees said: "Purchase pulled from the sleeve of his jacket a pool cue and began striking him, landing blows on his shoulder."
Purchase, of Farmfield Avenue, also threw an iron heater at their victim, but it did not connect. When the pair eventually left the property, they warned Mr Jones they would 'do' him if he called the police. The pair had both initially pleaded not guilty to the charges, but pleaded guilty to ABH and criminal damage on the day their trial was due to begin.
