A disqualified driver was stopped by firearms police and arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a roadside breath test found him three times over the limit.
The Porsche driver, 44, was pulled over near St Asaph and officers discovered he is disqualified from getting behind the wheel.
The man was driving a white Porsche 911 on the trunk road this morning when firearms police swooped.
The 44-year-old is currently on his way to custody for a further alcohol breath test.
His arrest has been highlighted by Roads Policing PC Scott Martin who tweeted: “Stopped #A55 St Asaph by Firearms colleagues. 44yr old driver is disqualified and 3 times drink drive limit #Fatal5.”
A North Wales Police spokesman said further information regarding the arrest can be expected this afternoon.
