Swansea,South Wales - Indecent images of children found on colleague's tablet computer

Scott Edwards was described in court as living in an "isolated fantasy land"
A MAN who had more than 120 indecent images of children as young as six on his tablet computer was caught after a work colleague saw the pictures and reported him.
Scott Edwards was described in Swansea Crown Court as living in an "isolated fantasy land", spending most of his time on his own playing computer games.
The images were found in November last year — but the court heard there had been long delays in bringing the case to court because the police were overworked.
Kevin Jones, prosecuting, said Edwards was just weeks into a new job with a Neath-based security company when a colleague noticed some thumbnail images on his tablet — disturbed at what he had seen he rang his boss, who told him to return to base with the tablet and the defendant.
When Edwards got back to the office the police were waiting for him.
Edwards, of Elba Crescent, Margam, pleaded guilty to possessing 121 incident images of children aged between around six and 15 when he appeared in the dock — five of the images were classified as Category A, the most extreme, 24 as Category B, and 92 as Category C.

There was also evidence that Edwards had between exchanging online messages with a man called Paedoman72 which, Mr Jones said, were an expression of the "isolated fantasy land he lives in".
The court heard Edwards has been diagnosed with Asperger's and autism, and lives in "virtual self-imposed isolation" in his house, having little contact with the outside world.
Edwards was given a three year community order with supervision, and put on the sex offenders register for five years and made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Judge Huw Davies QC said he would not send Edwards on the usual sexual offenders group work programme for fear he would be "preyed upon" by other people on the course.
