Looked in pretty good nick when we were there a few weeks ago, well maintained by the pub, think this could be vandalism.
A Victorian sailing barge moored in Cardiff Bay has mysteriously sunk.
The Eben Haezer has long been a landmark next to the Wharf pub in the capital
The Eben Haezer sailing barge has vanished below the waters at its mooring at Atlantic Wharf in the Bute East Dock.
The barge was owned by the Brains brewery as a feature next to the Wharf pub and restaurant in the dock.
One passer-by said: “It looks very sad with just the masts sticking out of the water. I would guess it has just rotted away over the years.”
Natural Resources Wales said it was monitoring the situation at Bute East Dock at Cardiff Bay.
Divers have visited the site to assess the damage and a boom has been put in place to stop diesel pollution.
