LLANELLI police have issued security advice to residents after a spate break-ins all taking place in one night, in the same area of the town.
Four burglaries, an attempted burglary, a car break in, and bouts of criminal damage took place overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, on streets along Felinfoel Road.
Officers were reportedly knocking on doors and leafleting homes in the area yesterday informing residents of the incidents.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: "Police in Llanelli received three reports of burglaries of outbuildings that occurred overnight on Tuesday November 17 — one was on Gilbert Road and two on Prospect Place."
They also responded to two reports of suspicious activity in the Felinfoel area that night.
Of those, the police spokeswoman added: "The first report was received at 10.55pm where a group of males were seen behaving suspiciously in a lane off Felinfoel Road.
"A shed break, an attempted shed break, and criminal damage occurred on Felinfoel Road.
"The second report was received at 2.10am on Wednesday, November 18, where two males had entered a parked car at Maes Golau and caused damage within the car. They ran from the vehicle when approached by the owner."
Felinfoel councillor, Robert Evans, said: "The residents of Felinfoel need to make sure they've locked all of their premises, keep an eye open and be a good neighbour.
"Be very vigilant and if you suspect anybody, be safe, don't approach them, and call 999 immediately."
Anyone with information on the existing offences is urged to call 101.
