Johnathan and Nathan, who live at the same address in Gaer Park Avenue, Newport, pleaded guilty to GBH.
A court heard that the boozy brothers had drunk 12 pints at the Cross Keys pub in Newport in March last year.
Cardiff Crown Court heard that the twins left a bouncer needing seven facial stitches after the 2am assault.
Judge Philip Harris-Jenkins told the court: "He suffered deep cuts to his skull.
"But both men were injured in the attack and have suffered from the delay in bringing the matter to court.
"Given this set of circumstances I am prepared to suspend the sentence."
Nathan and Jonathan were sentenced to 18 months in prison suspended for two years.
They were ordered to attend an alcohol rehabilitation programme for 18 months and were placed under a 8pm to 6am curfew.
