A 36-year-old man who died from stab wounds in Newport has been named as Rhys Jones.
Police launched a murder investigation following the death of Mr Jones, from Newport, on Tuesday evening.
Another man, 28, also received stab wounds in the incident, which happened in Clarence Place at about 7.50pm.
Gwent Police said a 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody.
The force added that the investigation is continuing but that nobody else was being sought in connection with the incident.
