A nail salon worker attacked one of his customers after she complained about the way he filed her fingers, Cardiff Magistrates' Court has heard.
Lang Van Pham, aged 25, locked four customers inside his Penarth shop after becoming "agitated", and attacked the 21-year-old when she said she wasn't going to pay.
Victim Anais Petherick visited the nail salon with her sister, but became unhappy with Pham's nail filing. She complained several times and Pham's wife, salon owner Thamh Thu Thi Nguyen, even tried to correct her husband's work. But Miss Petherick was still unhappy, and told the pair she would not be paying.
The court heard Pham told her: "If you are not happy with it, pay and you don't have to come back next time."
Ms Petherick described how Pham became "agitated and aggressive" towards her, and tried to pull her wrists towards him. He continued to act aggressively and began swearing, before confronting the girl and pushing her to the floor "quite hard".
Pham denied assault and told the court he did a "beautiful job".
Pham was found guilty of assault.
