Two brothers have admitted assaulting a 53-year-old man beaten up after he walked home from a village pub.

Wayne Parry, aged 29, of Llwyn Onn, Rhos on Sea, was bailed for sentencing at Caernarfon crown court on March 24.

Gavin Parry, aged 23, of the same address, was ordered to do 200 hours unpaid work, a two-year restraining order was imposed, and he must pay £200 compensation and £395 costs.

Defence solicitor Graham Parry told magistrates at Llandudno that the younger brother was present but didn’t play any part in the violence against Ivor Williams last summer.

The lawyer said the defendants’ late father didn’t get along with the victim.

Prosecutor James Neary said Mr Williams was punched repeatedly and told: ”That’s for my dad.” He bled heavily and needed stitches.

Mr Williams no longer felt safe going out in Rhos on Sea, knowing the brothers were around, the court heard.
