The area has been sealed off by South Wales Police this morning
Two people are in hospital after an assault in a pedestrian tunnel in Swansea.
The underpass behind the High Street railway station has been taped off at either end, with a police vehicle and officer positioned at either side.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said they were investigating an assault which happened at around 1:35am today.
"Two males were assaulted and received facial injuries and were conveyed to Morriston Hospital," said the spokesman.
"Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident, which took place close to New Cut Road.
"More information will be released when available."
The tunnel, which links the High Street to The Strand, is the same site where a person was stabbed last September.
Police tape also cordoned off the site on that occasion.
It is the second time parts of the city centre have been taped off within the past week.
On Sunday morning several city centre roads were cordoned off, including Orchard Street, High Street and Welcome Lane, in what police described as an alleged ‘serious assault’.
