Katie Tilsley was held following an 'altercation at a Wrexham tanning salon', police say
A former Wrexham health shop manager sacked for calling a customer a fat **t has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
Katie Tilsley, 34, was initially held over allegations of an assault on a man at the Go Bronze tanning salon in Brook Street.
A robbery investigation - believed to be linked to the same incident - was then launched, and officers are also probing alleged criminal damage at the premises.
Miss Tilsley was manager of Skinny’s on Henblas Street, Wrexham, until her well-publicised argument with a customer.
She had been working at Go Bronze as well as Skinny’s and is believed to have continued working there after she lost her job at the health food shop.
Go Bronze declined to comment on the incident when approached by the Daily Post.
A picture of a man purporting to have been injured in the incident has been circulating on social media, and it is understood he is an employee of Skinny’s, from which Miss Tilsley was sacked following her spat with a customer.
A spokesman for the force said: “A 34 year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an altercation at Go Bronze tanning salon on Brook Street, Wrexham.
“She has been released on police bail until April 13.”
The spokesman added that anyone with information about the alleged assault and criminal damage should contact North Wales Police on 101, quoting references RC17034425 (criminal damage) and RC17034442 (assault).
